Blue on red is an amazing service1, clean, fast, and usable – except for one thing, it’s color scheme.

A page which is bookmarked more often gets a darker background than other pages. Of course it’s a nice feature, but the problem is that the background is red and the font-color is light blue.

Some examples:

Red and blue are on both ends of the color spectrum, which makes it hard or even impossible for humans to focus on both colors simultaneously.

Additionally, blue light has to be much stronger than red light because humans have way less blue receptors then red and green.
